There are Imperial fans from advanced auto that Lee Wallace is running, I liked the looks of his fan mounts.
I'm running the proform fans, available on many sites but I got mine from
http://www.oreillyauto.com/EW3/Displ...p;newPage=true got a 16in puller on the radiator and a 14in pusher on the front of the A/C condenser. I wasn't overly thrilled with the fan mounts (push thru zip ties), but the fans cool well andI haven't had an issue in 100* heat in Texas. (no towing). Can't comment on longevity; only had them on 2 weeks.
there are fan kits w/ formed shrouds from flex-a-lite
Igot a Flex-a-lite controllerkit 31165that has adjustable thermo, wires, A/C clutch tap in option, as well as a keyed on/off option. It will power on 6 sec after turning the key to aviod the intial startup amp spike, and also starts the fans at 60% and only increases to 100% if needed.

www.dccontrol.com is another great controller, but the website doesn't seem to be working right now.

Shott recommended to me to get a Bosch 30/40 amp relay to run between the controller and fans, so the free spinning fan doesn't become a DC generator and backfeed into the electrical system. It's on order, but the fans haven't ever free spun yetbecause you can't go anywhere down here without the A/C on.

I can't comment on the HP gains as I added a Fastman TB at the same time and that clearly overshadowed the fans, but the A/C gets cold quickly, and the coolant temp stays rock steady at 180*!

Hope that helps!

I just ordered two 16" 2500 cfm fans last night myself and since I'm not a fan of those push throw zip ties either, I'm going to be making a custome shroud for my fans. I got the idea for making a custom shroud from one of the guys on the forum that did it himself. I'll see if I can find the link to the thread and post it when I find it.

Here's the link

Probably not for your application.
I installed a 10" Perma-Cool pusher (# 19010, 2200 CFM, 5.7 amps)bolted to 1" X 1/8" aluminun stock cut to length for the horizonal width of the evaporator cooler. Screwed the stock into the existing holes of the evaporator cooler frame. Installed on the drivers side, the hood latch mechanism prevented inatallation towards the center.
For the controller used a flex-alite Adjust Temp. Control #31147.Installed the bulb of the controller near the radiator inlet, upper drivers side. Adjusted the controller to turn on @ 210 Deg. F by my gage.
It seems when pulling a travel trailer up a steep mountain pass in low gear there's not much air passing through the radiator. The fan seems to help.

info on the commonly used Lincoln/Taurus electric fans which are some of the biggest and most reliable available:

Audi fans are also supposed to be good fits

Besides the pricey Spal
there have been many posts of the low cost aftermarket electric fans failing.

Just thought I'd post the links to the kits I'm going to buy to hook my electrical fans up with for everyone else that might want them too.

I installed a set of dual fans from a 98-03 pontiac grand prix in my truck about a week ago, though it's been so cool lately I can't really tell if they're doing much good. They cover a good 80% of the radiator surface so I'd think they'd be big enough. If I'm driving & turn on the switch when the temp gauge hits the 180'ish range, it will continue to climb to the 200-210 mark before stopping, then it'll just hang out in that range no matter how hard I'm driving it. With the fans off sitting in traffic, the temp will climb up past what I estimate to be the 220 range, I can turn the fans on & within a minute or so it'll be back to normal.I have a 180 degree thermostatsitting here waitingto go in, thinkthat will help bring the temps down even more?

I'll try to get some pics up later, let you guys critique my setup & tell me if they're big enough or not.

The 180* thermo will help, the stocker isn't opening until 195* so you wouldn't have to turn them on until then. Just make sure you watch it at a stop, I'd suggest an adjustabletemp controller to do most the work, then use the manual override for things like water crossings and such.
