Default Questions. Please Answer!

1. What are the best spark plugs you can buy?
2. Will switching from the round K&N setup to a FIPK benefit me more on racing?
3. Do underdrive pulleys (JET) actually gain performance?
4. Will the Mark VIII Elec. Fan be good enough to cool my motor?
5. Superchips or Hypertech (moneys not a prob.) (I like the choices of switching from different octanes)
6. I have no cats on my truck. By putting high flow cats. will it give me more backpressure alowing to gain any speed or performance?
7. Is Harland Sharp the way to go on RR's?
8. If all this installed will it beat the regency truck that beat me by 1 truck length in the 1/4?

THNX!

1. autolite 3923's
2. debateable
3. yes IMO
4. dont know, talk to those who have installed fans... Shot8283 is one that I know of...
5. I had hypertech and loved it
6. adding the cat will add backpressure and will help with low end torque, it'll cut from the top end performance, if your after top end, build the motor that way, big intake filter, open exhaust etc...
7. I had the crowers and lvoed them. pricey but worth it IMO... no experience with the HS's 1.7's are the way to go.
8.dont know...

hope this helps some...

A True Mark VIII fan will cool down your truck just fine. The biggest problem with that fan is the LARGE amp draw on your system. If you have a 136 amp Alt, AND you don't run a lot of electrical extras, you should be fine so long as you get a controller with a soft start(doesn't power up to max right away, avoids amp draw spikes) and that can run that fan at a lower power iffull blast isn't needed (starts at 60% and goes to 100% if needed).

flex-a-lite controller model 31165 works great (that's what I have).

There is a fan from a Ford Taurus 3.8 liter that I believe uses the Lincoln Mark VIII motor but the fan is smaller and has more of an s curve to it. I don't know if that one will work as well or not.

the quads dont work well in the magnum motors... the autolite 3923's are the way to go. others have had great sucess with the champion... my experience with them in years past was not good so I never bothered to try them on my 2000 5.9...

I'm using the Hypertech, and it has done well. I'm going B&G later down the road.

These Autolite platinums have worked perfect for me.
