Hope you found the issue with your truck. I had some gremlins like yours awhile back and took all of my electrical connections apart one at a time, wiped them out to be sure they were clean, and then used di-electric tune-up grease on every one of the connections. Don't know which connection(s) caused my problems but I've never had the same problem since.

Try di-electric tune-up grease on the crankshaft position sensor connection. It may solve your issue.
