someone mentioned that the cam is different, I cannot confirm that but I do know the heads are the same.

well like I said, the cam is different and I think the exhaust is also different, not 100% sure on those 2, your best bet is to ask over in the Durango forum to see what they say is different.
I asked the same question not to long ago. The answer everyone basicly gave me was the RT came with a higher program in the computer. They said the engine is the same.Exept for the 2000RT it came with different heads. I dontknow what is diffent about them.Some said the exhast is more free flowing. Check out the post Durango RT?right now its on page3 ofDurango 1st gen.forum. One thingI think is theIntake is different. I belive in my old enginetheIntake manifold was a splitrunner. I belive thats what its called. The new one I got is from a 2000 RT and the Intake is Openno split runner. I could be wrong. If Anyone knows Im wrong feel free to correct me
