Going with the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radial
Well after days and days of reseaching, I've finally decided to go with the Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radial. Originally, I was looking for just a winter tire, but I figure if I have to drop all this cash on tires, I mine as well make it a tire I'll run year round. I asked the guy at Mickey Thompson if he thought it'd be ok to fun the ATZ in a 35/12.5/17, the size I run currently with my Dunlop Mud Rovers. He said that since the tire is such a good tire and is "superior in ice, snow, water, and loose dirt, that I could run that size year round. I'm excited for this because I did not want to have to get a smaller size for the winter because the 35" tire looks so good on this truck. I'm also excited because this tire runs smooth, I can't stand the way the Mud Rover rumbles everywhere, and pretty much sucks everywhere else if your not mudding! I don't know what I'll do with my Dunlops' though, they are practically new, maybe I'll just keep them around, unless anyone here is interested in buying them come December? Anyways, what to do you guys think of my selection. 35/12.5/17 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Radials a good choice? They say they rock in all departments, while giving a nice smooth ride, even on the highway, which excites me, because I like to go fast lol! Let me know what you guys think, do you think there are any other better Mickey Thompson choices that would better suit my needs, or do you think this is the right one? (I like a smooth ride, and a tire that does great on wet, icey, and snowy surfaces!)
They are incredible tires. You won't be disappointed. I have 3 friends that have them on their trucks and have driven all three trucks and loved them. Those are the tires i'm going to be putting on my truck very soon.
Yeah I have a set on my truck. I have not had the chance to try them in ice or mud yet. So far I really like them. They are great on the highway and in the rain.
Grab a cheap set of offroad rims and slap your mud rovers on them, that way you'll still have them when you wanna go offroading and stuff, and you'll have your street tires for the winter and when you're go on long distance highway trips and stuff.

New tires, especially if when the old ones are bald, really make the truck feel good too. Tightens the handling up alot.
