Default Leaf Springs

I am wondering if anyone can help me figure out how to remove the rear leaf springs from my truck.a 2000 Ram 1500 2 x 4. It seems like the bolt used between the leaf end and hanger is held captive. How do you get thatboltout. Do I need to remove the hangers to get this job done. Thanks...

Danny,
It's not captive, it slides in and out of the bushing fairly easily when new. If there is corrosion, it can bind the bolt in the bushing. Sometimes so much so that you cannot get it out and may have to cut them off. I'm lucky enough to live in a part of the country that rust is not a big problem, but it seems like the eastern guys have to always cut them off.
