Default A/C low side

I'd like to check my A/C charge and service if needed. There's two caps that I can find. One on the manifold to the compressor itself and one on a line that runs up and along the passenger side fender. Both of these have different threaded fittings than I've seen in the past when doing this. Can someone help me out and ID the low side fitting please?

Thanks!

Your low side would be along the fender with the blue cap should have L on the cap , of course your high side is at the compressor with the red cap should have a H on top of that cap...

Both caps are black. These fittings are threaded female and the kit I have uses male connectors. *sigh*

Thanks for the info.

The connector by the pass fender is definitely the low side it's common for them to both have black caps.

Your kit is for 134a refrigerant right?

Yes, it was 134a refrigerant.

I haven't done any A/C servicing since my 1983 Chevette with R-12. This is the first vehicle I've had since then that even needed to be serviced. When I checked it today, it was at 45Lbs. I took it up to 52lbs and it is cooling much better. No ice and instead of having to bomb down the road for 10 minutes before it starts really cooling, it's putting out some cold air by the time I get to the end of the street.[8D]
