Has anyone had trouble with their egr valves? I just replaced my on a 95 Ram. The shop told me that moisture was getting in the valve and causing the truck to run lean. Does anyone know where the moisture is coming from?

 

This probably won't help much, but what I think they meant is that moisture was getting into the valve, causing it to stick open. Did you have poor driveability most of the time? Some EGR valves were known to have issues like this and after 9 years in service I wouldn't call it unexpected.

Did they stick it to ya for replacing the EGR?
