O.K guys,I have a stock 98 with a CTD 24v.I want to upgrade to the K+N hi flow air.I have a 4" exhaust and the power is a little on the low side.If I Edge it do I have to beef up the auto tranny?

I would say that no added upgrades were needed. But as aim4squirels said. check with the diesel folks
