the truck will clunk while in 4x4 on dry pavement if your turning your wheels. its binding. were you turning at all, or were you in a straight line.

I think I was turning a little. It made a pop/clang sound. Sounded like someone rang a bell.

Well u know, once u pull it back in to 4x4 spot, the valcome in the front axel still needs to suck the plate in to place for the 4 wheel drive to ingage. So do this, be rolling around 4 miles an hour, put it in the neutral *will still going strait* and put it in 4x4 and then putit back in to drive and go ina strait line for aobut 100feet, if it dosent ingage, check and see if there is a hole in ur vaclume line.
