Coverlay Piece of Junk!
I got my Coverlay today for $160. I was VERY skeptical as I've heard about poor quality and color match. It turned out to be VERY true. I could fit my pinky in between the gap around the air bag and instrument bezel. My dash is dark dark gray to black, and I called them and talked with them for an hour about which to get and asked them all sorts of questions. They had me read my vin and interior code and assured me dark gray would be perfect. It was waaaaay off.
I called them and said they could have sent a white GMC dash cover and it probably would have fit and matched better. They apologized and did a full refund. Get this...instead of having me send it back, they had me cut out a section with the ID#. They said shipping was $25 each way and they risk damage both times, so to get $50 into it and possibly have a damaged product returned isn't worth it. Just as long as they knew that it was unusable, they were happy. So I cut apart a brand new dash cover.
Luckily, my dash hasn't cracked yet. When it does, I will know to order black. I'll have to find another company though...

That definitely sucks. My dash just recently got a ~4" crack in it and after your other postings about ordering this I had thought about it as well. Maybe they wouldn't all be this bad. Kinda weird that they just wanted you to cut out the ID #. Just goes to show how much they are really worth if they will give you a full refund without getting the part back.

I was dissapointed with the color on the coverlay dash I got too.
I am ordering some interior paint from genosgarage.com that they say is a 100% match for the Agate inteior (Dark grey) and I will be painting mine before I put it in. I did test fit mine and it looks like it will fit great. You have to silicone it down, so there will be some areas that you may have to tape down or put something on the cover to apply pressure while it dries (it says that in the instructions too).
If I had it to do over, I would have gotten the carpeted dash pad from Geno's and just put that on, but I can make this Coverlay one work especially if Genos comes through anf the paint is an exact match.
