Default T-Stat stuck

I am changing my t-stat on my 96 Dodge Ram, 5.9, and for some reason I can't take it out. I have everything off: the air box, alternator bracket, and top rad and t-stat housing, but the t-stat is still stuck to the block. Any ideas how to take the t-stat off. Thanks for you help.

I'm assuming your not reusing the old thermostat so I'd give it a good tapand just try and pry it out. Try to be careful of the metal surface around the thermostat as you don't want to damage the gasket surface for when you put it back together. Good luck I know there's not a lot of room to play there.
