Default Steering Wheel Issues

Alrighty, time for me to change gears and get away from posts that have to do with things going on under the hood, and start with the interior.

The Second Generation steering wheel is a pile of ****. Mine has issues with my having to hold the cruise control On/Off switch for a long time before it engages. Also, the round horn buttons are either slimed with Armor All from detailing (not me) and the buttons get stuck when the plastic expands in warmer weather.

The Third Generation steering wheel seems to be of a better design. Now, before anyone craps his pants about there being an airbag and all that, I understand how to work around that. I'm interested if anyone knows of any decent aftermarket steering wheels for the Second Gen pickup, or if a Third Gen wheel will work.

I have already planned on figuring a way to take the wheel apart to clean the contacts for the cruise-control system and thought I would have to come up with some way to fix the issue with the horn buttons sticking.
