Default front brake question

Should my front brakes be rubbing when the truck is on the lift? if i spin the front tires i can hear the front pads rubbing on the disc... is this normal? and its both front tires.... for adjusting the rears i see the adjuster holes.. how do i know when they are tight enough? should i hear them scrape just a lil bit? i have no idea how to tell

To the rear brake question- it really comes with experience and over all feel of them, when tightening or loosening just spin the drum around and feel where you think it is good, I know I explained it vaguely but it really is all about the feel.

have them in the middle of sound beginning and the start of resistance

you want them making a little contact

adjust some, and then check your parking brake

front brake pads are okay to touch, but not alot of resistance, if there is, you might have some brake caliper hardware binding up on the slides, take out the slide bolts and lube them up with some high-temp lubeeeee

just the bolts themselves, dont grease up the actual slides - doing so will just cause probs in the future with dirt gathering up on the slides and once again binding them up and sticking...
you want them clean

all that ^^.
normal for front to scrape a little, but should turn easily.
i like to adjust rears up while turning the wheel, till they get tight, and then back them off a little. same as front - a light scrape, but turns easily.

I use wheel bearing grease on the slider pins... never have had a problem with them after I put it back together (been doing it that way for about 20 years now)
