miles to tank... i need input
i have a ,96 ram 4wd auto.the tank has ruffly a 130 litre capacity and i always got about 700km's per tank city / highway driving.2 weeks ago i put a k+n filter in and i got 800km's out of the ole girl.i also use synthetic oil in engine and tranny.thats 7.2 litres/100kms or about 20 miles/gallon.(if my math is right)lol

hahaha. AAA.
if u read through the posts i said "i might have a misfire" i didnt say "yeeeep thats what it is guys, a misfire." there are many other things that can cause a drain in mpg, just dont feel like typin all that out. Also, This is my first dodge, so i dont know what is to be expected mpg wise. thats the purpose of this thread.
and for the caddy hair hat, best 30 bucks ive spent, and it does the same thing as an aftermarket.
its called southern engineering, somethin you obsivally cause the way you talk, know nothing about.
I aint new to the fourms anymore, no need to try to babysit. Do i have your permission to post again tommrow? [&:]

Lol, go ahead and post man. Don't let me rain on your parade. I just make comments on things that don't make sense to me. It's how I learn best about that Southern engineering.
Btw, this thread popped up yesterday. I got the guy started on your checklist, but maybe you can explain the finer points to him.

I can get about 550 miles(highway) on a tank.I think its a 26 or 27 gallon tank.I try not to go past 500 miles.

Yup,no lie.I traveled from Md. to around Chattanooga on a tank of gas.I hit 550 when I was at the gas station.Surprised the crap out of me too.I guess the mods I have done really help it out.
No freakin' way your getting 20+ mpg on any road trip with a V8 Ram. Either you have a larger than standard 26 gal. tank or you were running down hill with the wind and a FN angel on your shoulder!
in his sig it states his truck is a longbed...which means a larger tank correct? if he used 30 gallons, that's right around 16 2/3 mpg. if he used 34 gallons, 14.7 mpg. It's also a 2wd w/ 318. Some of the V8 Dakota guys have claimed22 before, 14-17 doesn't seem that unreasonable to me.
In my old 93 Dakotaclub cab with a 5.2 & 4wd I used to get 18mpg pretty regularly on the highway. And now if i'm driving strictly highway in my ram at 60-65mph, I can get 350 miles from 23 gallons which is just a hair over 15mpg.
edit: i just realized he said 550 miles, not 500. So the numbers would be 18 1/3 for 30 gallons, and 16.17 for 34 gallons.
