I know this is out of place, but this forum has been the best for the answers I need. I have a 98 jeep grand cherokee that just lost the reverse gear. It drives fine in all of the forward gears and shifts into reverse, butalmost seems to be in neutral when shifted to reverse. It moves backwards, but there is no torque behind it, even at 1000rpms in reverse, putting your foot out can stop it from moving. Any help here would be HUGE!!! will a rear band adjustment help or am I screwed? It is really wierd Because it never gave any indication that something was wrong....no grinding,whining, no "clunk"...nothing. it just quit HELP!!!!!!
