Default straight pipes, glass packs, and flowmasters

i know everyone is probaly tired of exhaust questions by now but i got one more. my truck use to have a flow 40 on it w turndowns at the rear axel. it sounded good but it rattled off the bed too much. so i went to have tail pipes and tipsput on it ,but my muffler had blown a seam. so i ended up gettin a y piped about (bout a foot from the cat) and then duals ran all the way out the back w/ 4" ss tips run out the corner off the bumper. then bout a week later it got a new cat from advance auto. well it sounds mean but it getts a bad wraspy cracking sound when i get on it (more than 1800/2000 rmp). i been thinking bout glass packs to stop the cracking w/o quiting it down alot, buti dont know if it would work out that way. i got a set of stainless steele 40's (deta's i think) sittin around to. i guess what want to know is if any body runnin strait pipes has the same thing. will glass packs stop the pop or should i throw on the flows. i want to hear it wen i get on it but also a lil rumble at cruise.

I have one glasspack after the cat and when its cold, it raps pretty loud around 1800-2000rpms. once it gets warmed up it doesnt rap much, it just has the muscle car sound. i really like my setup and it turns a lot of heads

generally glasspacks solo are going to be darn raspy..some like that sound...i personally dont mind them too much, but at times it lacks a nice consistent "nascar" tone...i think you should put the flowmaster on...it provides a consistent beautiful tone that just sounds awesome...i dont know though, i run the Flowmaster SUPER 44, and i think it tops all of the flo-mufflers, its so darn loud and provides a beautiful poppy deep basey tone, it's sick! check out my latest flowmaster super 44 videos!

You can check out the video of my truck in my signature. It's true duals into 2 glasspacks and out 3" tips. I like the sound it makes, but I may end up going with a dual in, dual out flowmaster super 44 if I can find one. But I like it for now, it's only been this way for a couple of weeks and it's good and loud.
