Default 2000 Ram 1500 Cutting Out

My 2000 Ram 1500, with 140,000 (mostly highway) miles has developed a problem, wherin it cuts out while driving. This can happen at any speed and never shows up at idle. It commonly happens at 2100 RPM at about 75 MPH. I experience at unrelated times, although it seems to happen when cresting a grade, at highway speeds.

I have replaced a fuel pump and ECM. The dealer in St. George Utah had it three and a half weeks. They replaced the ECM and then tried to find a problem in the wiring harness. They did install an additional ground to the wiring harness, but the truck acts as it always did.

The St. George service team was great to work with and they did not charge me hardly anything, based upon the amount of time and effort they spent on the problem.

I have maintained this truck and taken the best of care to ensure it runs well. I am often making 6 hour freeway trips and need a reliable truck. Earlier this year, when the truck was running fine I cleaned my injectors and tuned it up, installing new plugs/wires/cap/etc. In the latest round of diagnostics, it has been on several scopes and meters.

I bought a 2007 Ford F-150, but I like the way the Ram feels. I hope I can fix it and continue to drive it (my wife can have the Ford).

I cannot sell it. I cannot dirve it. Any thoughts on how I can fix it?

my first guess would have been fuel pump.
sounds like something is killing or restricting fuel or spark or exhaust.

w/o any other data, taking a shotgun approach, i would do...
cat converter
coil
crank position sensor.

I had a roommate in college that had a short in his fuse box. Without warning, all the elctrical would die and he'd have to massage the fuse box while driving down the road and hope it'd light back up.

Does it start right back up after it shuts off? Does it happen dry or in the rain? I would check the pick up coil. I had a sundance that acted the same way and I went round and round with the local dealer thay could find any thing until it actually broke. They too were good to me and didn't charge me much. Any way long story short it was the pick up coil and because it only happened every now and then the ecm didn't pick up on the fact that it was bad.
