Raced my bros 350 tonight!
Tonight me and my brother decided to do a couple races tonite. He has a 95 F-350 with a 7.5L 460ci big block. He has a K&N cold air intake kit and a 2.5" true dual with dynomax bullets. It's one of a kind truck, it's all blinged out and has a brand new black paint job, it's awesome! Anyways, we wanted to line them up to my new truck in town. Keep in mind I run 35" mud tires and so far, all I have for performance mods is an exhaust system. Anways the first race we did was a 25mph punch. At 3 we both hit it, I had him at first, but as we got to 50mph, my window was at his tailpipe from there on, but we just stayed like that all the way up to 95mph neck and neck, but he still won that one....barely. Then the second race we did was at a stop light. Once again I had him off the line at first up to 25mph, but then all the way up 85mph, he was a truck length ahead of me. So his big boy f-350 had me. We both kind of though it out and we thnk were pretty even. I run the big goofy tires so that takes some speed away, and he has to lug around that giant f-350 frame, so were prettty neck and neck. We are going to race again when we both get our headers installed, and i get my cold air intake and chip installed. I also don't want to race again till i get rid of the mud tires and get the mickey thompson baja atz radials, which should give my truck the nice smooth ride i want. the mud tires really tax high speed performance, and they peel out a lot off the line which really puts a toll on trying to win a race! Anyways, it was still really fun, both of our beasts (360 ci, and 460ci) were both just roaring making all that sweet loud noise, and it was just a fun experience getting to see the two giant tall beasts goin full at it and seeing fords 460 big block go against dodge's efficient 360 small block, just awesome!
