I dont even know what it is called as you can see, but the overhead thing that tells you the mpg, direction your headed and temp, and all that does not work on my truck.... Any one got any ideas as to why this may be?

 

It turns on and everything, it just doesnt do what it is suppose to. it has power so i know thats not the problem... So if any one has experienced this let me know whats up... I dont want to take it to the dealership and get charged a arm and a leg to fix it.

 

have you taken it down to see if anythings busted electrical behind it?

 

No i get home on the 24th this month so ill do that and see, but everything shows up its just inaccurate information or it says that like oc or something like that i dont really remember ill look at it more when i get home, its just been about 5 months since i left the states so I dont remember everything exsactly i know i reset it but it doesnt do any good to reset it.

 

I had a problem where all it would display was "Ccd" for every setting. Turns out theplug in the back of the console came loose. Ifjust the temp isn't working you probably have a problem with your ambient air temperature sensor.It's either behind the front bumper or under the hood on the backside of the grille. $18 part from the dealership.

 

Yah thats all that it says is ccd i couldnt remember what it was, aliright i appreciate it ill try and pull it out and take a look at it when i get home... Thanks

 

Make sure you check for shorts on the circuit boards and wires that might have shorted due to rubbing/chafing.

 

Thats a good point there too... ill check that as well...
