No, I have run these kind of clear tail lights before on my old neon. LED bulbs are completely clear, but light up red. Granted, they are a bit of pain to set-up because they require an equalizer kit to be installed to draw enough energy because LED's don't draw enough power naturally. I'll post pics up when I have them in

 

you said you got these ones right???they look like the use the original bulb sockets...i could be wrong though

 

Yeah, the LED's come in the same part numbers as the stock bulbs and are still direct fits, it works out great and they are very neat.

 

Ya, those kind with the red inside do look ricey but maybe once you get the truck painted black it will all blend-in in the end. I havent really payed much attention to the tail-lights on a lexus, usually im in front of them.
