Default WHAT TO USE WHEN CLEANING THE IAC?

If i were toclean the iac on my tb would i use regular tb cleaner? Im trying to get rid of the little rough idle i have. I know cleaning the tb will help that but i didnt know what exactly the iac does and how to clean it. thanks in advance for the info and help.

You can use it but I would not leave it on long. I am an aircraft electrician and suggest using contact cleaner. Dries quickly and leaves no residue. I use it on all sensors and electrical connectors.

Controls your fuel mixture before your engine reaches regular operating temp I believe.

It controls your idle speed. It works by restricting air flow into the engine at idle. I usually clean mine with combustion chamber cleaner or carb/air intake cleaner. I usually start by spraying combustion cleaner down the IAC port on the back of the throttle body while the engine is running. This helps loosen the gunk and cleans out the throttle body passages. If it's still really dirty I remove the IAC and clean it manually.
Don't be rough with it or apply excessive force to the IAC pintle or push/pull on it or it can become damaged
