I'm looking to buy a regular cab SB 4x4 for a hunting rig. I found a 2000 SLT 5.9 with 119k on it, motor runs fine, tranny seems to shift ok, drives pretty good, and is very clean. I looked the truck over good and see no signs of any damage or rust anywhere, carfax report came back clean with no reported issues at all. It does not appear to have the offroad package.

I plan to put a 5" suspension lift and run 35x12.50's on the truck and Inoticed that the lifts are different for 2000 from the earlier gen II's. What'schanged in 2000? anythingI should watch out for with thisyear? which suspension lifts do you guys prefer and why?what's the minimum backspacing I need to clear the control arms with the 35's while keeping the tires tucked in as much as possible?
