Default So I've got a 1998 1500 sport w/ a 5.2

and I have this crazy dream of clearing 38's. would it be completely dumb to lift it after i chip it, put a shift kit in it and redo the exhaust? all my truck savvy buds make fun of me cause its a tiny motor but i think it could work.

nope, go for it. also add a 50mm fastman, headers high flow exhaust and a good air intake setup. then if your wallet is thick enough, 1.7 roller rockers.

i've got a K&N air filter set up right now, i work at a dealership so i get a huge discount on a lot of parts. anything else i might need?

power tuner of some sort would help with power and would adjust your speedo to your new tire size, msd ignition wouldnt hurt, tranny cooler, upgrade your brakes since you stopping more rubber
