Default High transmission Fluid

i just bought a beautiful 2001 dodge magnum 5.9L. It is really clean, but i keep getting code P1740. The tranny works well with no signs of problems. I checked the fluid level and it was quite a bit over the max. This is probably causing foam and maybe the error code. Just in-case, I got that vavle body cover for the Transmission in the TSB, and am going to installit tomarrow. Wouldtoo much ATF+4 fluid cause the code?

i don't know. make sure you're checking the level with trans warm and in neutral, not park. it will read high in park.

also check your transfer case fluid level. I have seen the seals between the two go bad and one fills the other. Trans filling the t-case not so bad, t-case filling the trans = no lube in t-case and lots of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ in repairs
