Where to find a engine rebuild kit for 360?
I'm going to school to be automotive tech...well next semester i have a engine rebuild class. I'm sure my instructors will know the answer to my questions but i don't know who they are just yet...but i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a engine rebuild kit for a good price.....my motor only has 117,000 on it but when i'm able to rebuild it in class for the price of matrials why not right? so....anyone have any ideas let me know....

I would personally leave your motor alone and try and find a blown one to work on, you could probably get one pretty cheap. That engine still has a ton of life in it and I would recommend just leaving it be. My 360 has over 251,000 miles on it and still runs great. I know its only going to cost parts, but it is a class and you are learning so you wouldn't want to mess anything up. Besides its nice having an extra motor to build on, I have 3 for my Grand Am

If you know of a machine or speed shop they can usually get you a great deal on rebuild kits. Not one made out of crap parts. I have my own machine shop guy who builds race cars so he hooks me up.
yeah....true.....i will have to check into a shop...i wouldn't mind building up a spare motor ethier i guess i would just have to see what kind of deals i could find on one...where would you look for a motor junk yard?
in the hot rod mag's there is a company called PAW that sells everything for engines... rebuild kits, partial rebuild kits... you name it, they sell it.

The 360 motor is everywhere you should be able to find one pretty cheap. I'd check ebay and your local junk yards. I would be willing to be that you could get a blown one for next to nothing.
