I'M NEW SO BE NICE. I BOUGHT A 98 2500 RAM 4X4 (8800GWR), THE BRAKE LIGHT IS ON AND THE ABS LIGHT IS ON,(WHY) THE DODGE DEALER PRINTED ME OFF THE FACT SHEET ON IT ,AND IT HAS 4-WHEEL ABS. I DROVE AROUND TOWN AND ITS FINE. I ALSO DROVE IT ON A 350 MILE TRIP NO-PROBLEMS. ANY IDEAS?

If its 4 wheel ABS it
Could be the rear wheel speed sensor. Or it could be one of the sensors in either one of the front hubs
Is the speedo workin right? If not its the one in the rear.
That's about all I can think of right now.

YES THE SPEEDO WORKS RIGHT AS IT SHOULD. WILL A CODE SHOW WHATS WRONG IF I HAVE THE COMPUTER PLUGED IN? THANKS FOR THE REPLY

there will be a code but only if the computer can read abs codes.

Check the fuses under the hood.
Mine blew the maxi fuse for theABS pumponce and I had the same symptoms.

Also check the fuse inside the cab. Mine blew and did the same thing. There's an extra one inside the panel. $0 fix.
