I kinna did a lil bit of mudding and whenever I shut my motor off I can hear this tinging sound for about 3 sec. before it stops. Can anyone help me figure out what it could be?

RE: Ting Sound
Mine truck tings all the time as parts cool down and shrink. Sounds like small rain drops ona steel bucket. It's totally normal. Is that the sound you're referring to?

RE: Ting Sound
Its got that but there is another ting to it. Its like its bouncing around in there and the tings start getting farther apart as if whatever might be bouncing around in there is slowing down. O and i noticed today that there is oil on my back left u bolts brake some on driveshaft and on the far inside of my wheel well, n i have no idea how it would get so far over.

RE: Ting Sound
Its most likely that the sound you are hearing is your exhaust and other metalic components cooling down. Not really sure what could be "bouncing around" since nothing is spinning after you kill the engine and stop moving.

It is possible that a weld berry is rolling around somewhere in the exhaust, it probably won't hurt a thing, but as I'm not there to hear it personally, if your worried, take it in.

RE: Ting Sound
No Idea on the tinging sound other that what the other guys posted. My truck to also makes that sound as its cooling down.

The oil you described sounds like you might have a small leak in your brake line or something. You won't notice any fluid leaking unless you step on the brakes or you run out of brake fluid.

It's normal when a vehicle is abused, some things may never be the same.
