Well with only 5500 to spend about all you are going to get is an older high mileage truck so expect some repair bills.

5500? or 5500 plus what you get for your jeep?
Mines a 96, and when I bought it had 95,000 miles on it. Nothing wrong with it except for some rearbumper rust I repaired for about 40 dollars. The tires only had about5k worth of tread left on them too.got it for 6k.

I'd like your truck too Indy.
But you'll find something sweet.

i found mine for 3250. tires sucked, had to get new ones right away. paint is chipping. had 135xxx when i bought it. has ran great though, no serious problems (had to get new starter, but it is a 12 year old truck) its a great truck mechanically though. even with larger tires i get 14.1 mpg.

if you look enough youll find a good one within your price range. just make sure you dont buy one that someone is dumping due to a transmission or else youll have to drop some money into it right away.
