First Time Buying truck
Im a freshman in college I currently have a lifted Jeep Grand Cherokee sittin on 33's its sick ,but its time to get something with a little more *****. I really want a Ram 1500club cab 4x4 between 1996-2001. Ionly have $5,000 so my options are limited. What should i look for and what should i look out for. Thanks
5500? or 5500 plus what you get for your jeep?
Mines a 96, and when I bought it had 95,000 miles on it. Nothing wrong with it except for some rearbumper rust I repaired for about 40 dollars. The tires only had about5k worth of tread left on them too.got it for 6k.

But you'll find something sweet.
i found mine for 3250. tires sucked, had to get new ones right away. paint is chipping. had 135xxx when i bought it. has ran great though, no serious problems (had to get new starter, but it is a 12 year old truck) its a great truck mechanically though. even with larger tires i get 14.1 mpg.
if you look enough youll find a good one within your price range. just make sure you dont buy one that someone is dumping due to a transmission or else youll have to drop some money into it right away.
