front recovery hooks
well, from my recent wheeling my air dam took a dump and i took off what screws were still holding it on and just took it off. i like the looks ofit off myself, even if i get .82% worse mpg or w/e it is haha....well anywho i'd like to bolt on some front tow (recovery)hooks on the two parts of the frame that go right up to the bumper. any ideas? i like the chevy ones where they curve around, not up. i notice the new dodges are like that. i saw a dodge pair for $130 and crapped my pants. there has to be another way?

yes, its ridiculous. new factory ones are available on ebay for $120. its not only a hook, but a bracket that wraps around the frame and the cross member. http://tinyurl.com/2xvukm
forum member 'godramit' used to sell some that he fabricated, but has quit making them. they were reasonable, about $60 or so. you might contact him to see if he has any left, or wants to make any more.
i bought a set used on ebay for about $75
the frame is curvy at the front end, and a hook doesn't bolt on very well. don't bolt one to the cross member because its not stong enough. better to make a 90* bracket similar to the factory one, that bolts to both frame and cross member.

I bought mine at 4wheel parts for 10 each. I put 2 one one each side. I used 3/8 in steal to mount it up to the frame.
