cd player install

Default cd player install

So i just got a new cd player for my truck. how exactly does the black front piece of the dash come off? Does it jus snap off? Thanks

pull the ashtray out and there are two screws in that hole, then pull the cup holders out and take out those two screws, then the black plastic simply snaps out. then proceed to un screw the stock radio, i believe 4 screws, then just install the new one. its fairly simple

my 2001 just pops off. no screws, no ashtray, no cupholder.

The 94-97 are how was first explained and then the 98-01 are how vaughan said, but mine had a screw in the aux. power plug in the top right hand side of the bezel. Its really simple to get off, jst put the shifter in first, tilt the steering wheel and pull it off.

Just put mine in yesterday on my 1999 and it just snaps off. It was so easy a caveman could do it!
