Default Goo Remover?

Hey guys and gals,

I'm removing the stickers on the bed and tailgate that say DODGE and SPORT. I know these things are on pretty good, so I know there is going to be some kind of sticky residue left behind.

What is some good stuff that will take this off without ruining the paint??

Thanks fellas, hope you all are having a good day.

Gil.

i haven't done it yet, but i hear a heat gun works extremely well. heat the sticker up, and it peels right off leaving nothing behind. i've done this on other things, just not the decals on my ram

If you don't have a heat gun, you can use a plain old clothes iron. Place a thin towel or paper towels over the letter you want to remove (big enough to cover the entire surface of the iron so you don't accidentally scratch your paint). Place the iron on top of the towel, and slowly warm the letter (don't set it too hot, and keep the steam setting off). The glue on the letters will get soft, and you can peel them right off. I have never done this, but know someone who has.

My wife has also used this trick to remove wax from carpets (like if a candle drips).

all you have to do is use denatured alcohol or rubbing alcohol and a wad of fresh newspapers to rub it off....works great!!!
