ignition problem please help ASAP
Hey everyone, this may be a bad way to introduce myself but I need anyones and everyones help. My '99 1500 w/ 5.2 and 5spd has a bit of a problem. The truck has run great up until this morning. I replaced the cap, rotor, wires and plugs and now it runs like ***. It still starts up and drives but the idle sucks and it sometimes dies at low rpms. Also, non of the gauges work, NON!!! No voltage, no oil pressure, no fuel level, no water temp, no rpm, no speed, nothing!!! The little screen that usually says the milage and trip is now saying "no bus", WTF does that mean???? Somebody please help me. I've already taken the cap and rotor off twice and installed it over to make sure everything is lined up, as far as the wires, I've gone over them four times to make sure they are correct. I'm still so lost as to what the problem is.
Welcome
no bus-
means no BUS communications are happening between modules.
check your IOD fuse and all other fuses on truck.
make sure you didn't accidently pull one of your PCM connectors out while you were doing spark plugs and wires...
i have done so myself...

Problem solved, thank you. It was that big *** white fuse in the engine compartment. just pulled it, sprayed it clean w/ crc electric clean and tightened it real, real tight. After that, the problem went away. I went to AutoZone and had them pull my codes, and the system was clear.
