Default Dual Exhaust

Thinking about adding dual exhaust to my 01 5.2 litre V8. To get the best results for mpg. Should I go a single inlet dual outlet or go for true duals.

I'm going to branch into duals after the cat, so I don't have to buy another one. Has anybody here put duals like this on an 01 I'm trying to figure out the best way to run them to keep them even in the end. So one isn't working more than the other.

i got a kit off ebay to do that. it came with a single in dual out Flowmaster 40 series, all the piping, clamps and a couple extra hangers. I had to pay extra for the ss tips though. I put it on with some help from a friend. It was time consuming and at times was a pain in the *** but we got it on there and it looks and sounds great. Only thingit would do different is i would have had it installed and welded together cause now it rattles. When I get my hi flo cat put on I'm gonna have them weld everything. the seller was madhatter or something like thatits an exhaust shop that sells the kits. Only problem i had was the first box i received wasmissing a bunch of stuff all that came were the pipes. They ended up strighting it all out and sending me a whole new kit so all in all it was a good transaction.Heres a couple vids

My truck came with a flowbastard single in/dual out to long tips coming out either side of the hitch receiver, what I'd consider the standard duals for a truck. It couldn't sound any better unless maybe it had headers, but for right now it's just great. I'm not sure what series muffler it is but it's quiet enough at idle and not annoying running 70 mph.

I bought a kit off ebay also.I have never installed an exhaust before and I am changing the cat and exhaust all the way back.My question is that Im not sure how to mount the hangers that came with it.They have what look to be screw holes, then rubber pieces and then a bent over flange. How do you mount these? They look like this.http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Exhau...QQcmdZViewItem
