ok so its getting colder out and im having a little problem when i start my truck after its been sitting awhile and the temp of the engine has gone cold it wont idle you have to keep it reved for a few min then it will idle i replaced the iac like a year ago you think it could just be sticking any ideas where to start would be help full let me know

 

iac is probably stuck/not working. i too replaced mine about a year ago and all was well. then about 2 weeks ago it started that crazy surging when cold, 900-1500 rpm, up/down, up/down. today i pulled it off and sprayed crc electronic cleaner all over it and in the well. used my finger inside the well. it seems to have calmed down - but we'll see. if it doesn't straighten up i'm going to replace it again.

 

well once it gets semi warm it will idle perfectly fine think mabe its just sticking and the heat is making it expand so it dosnt stick
