Default Trans Question

Ok being a Dodge the trans isnt doing so hot, I have two questions one being 2nd gear will hang in second, but eventually will shift to drive and settle into overdrive sometimes wont shift unless i let off the gas and let it hang for a bit, from asking around I understand there is a drum that is a factory defect that causes this problem. This is a known factory defect and i wanted to know peoples input, and also ive heard that a GM trans fits perfectly if i was to swap it out and was wondering if anyone has tried this. please let me know thanks.

Sounds like you need to have the trans service done. They can adjust the bands and make it shift better. Also I have heard of having the computer flashed. I don't know if this would help you out or not.

yah sounds like it neds to be serviced, new fluid , filter, band adjustment, check your linkage and if it still shifts harsh try adjusting the TV cable search "TV cable adjustment" there is a step by step on it

and no a GM tranny wont "just fit right in"
