Default Question about performance

Does anybody know a set of exhaust headers that will let use the cat, in other words I want them to mount into the catalytic converter so they stay legal.

no the shorty headers mount onto a y-pipe and the y-pipe mounts to the cat. If you are looking for something that mounts into the cat longtube headers with connected y-pipe is what you want... if you can find them for your truck.

You can use the cat with any headers available. Shorty headers are meantto bolt straight onto the stock y pipe. There is a set of headers made by pacesetter that are longtubes and I believe you will need a custom Y pipe or buy one from pacesetter to use with the long tubes, and you may have to move the cat on that particular setup.

The advantage to longtubes is that yougain a little more torque and HP than the shorties.
