I change the PCV at every oil change so this one is good. Where is the check valve located? Cam position sensor location?

That would be a good idea but I use Royal Purple oil with a Mobile 1 Extended Performance Oil filter so my oil changes do not come often but thanks for the tip.
Like I stated this doesn't happen often but you're right with the work done it shouldn't come on at all. I will chk on the return chk valve and also I found a fuel regulator from O'Reilly's for $25 by Mr. Gasket I'm assuming this is the correct one. I was told that another problem might be the distributor bearing which is on my list to chk. Is the crank sensor hard to change?
I recommend pulling and cleaning the crank sensor. If it is greasy or dirty then it can't read the flywheel. Clean the connectors on the sensor and the harness and hit the contacts with di-electric grease. It's a bitch to remove so prepare for a lot of swearing.
Hey Hank I was wondering when you would log on. As always I appreciate your imput and will check on the Snap On guage. The other guage's website shows it to be discontinued. As much as I admire your wisdom I must decline your recommedation that I get rid of my truck. One would not throw away a Ferrari just because it has a small chip in the paint. I'm pretty sure it's something I'm over looking that's why I came to the experts. Trust me I'm going to follow through with all of these suggestions.
Thanks now 1 last question, where on the distributor is this located? I had a good view of the dist when I removed the intake to replace the upper and lower gaskets and I saw a wiring harness and of course the retaining plate that holds the dist down. I do have a body lift so I can access the back of my engine with ease.
There is a crank sensor behind the intake that bolts to the top of the transmission. The cam sensor is located in the distributor. Follow the pigtail and you'll see a large disc that fits only one way. Clean them both.
Plus, you were the one who mentioned the crank sensor earlier:

Whoa...
I did not say 'get rid of your truck"
I wrote that after buying some test equipment to get your truck fixed,
you could later sell the test equipment on eBay or Craigslist
to get part of your money back.
Spending money wisely
and selling what you no longer need
is a foundation of how I try to behave.
But I also think having good tools
both inside metal boxes
and powerful 'mental tools' inside the skull
are good things to invest in.

My bad Hank I thought you meant "my truck" when you stated you could then sell "IT. Well I'm going to be busy this weekend trying all of these ideas. Does the distributor have to be yanked in order to get to the cam sensor? Also my truck has 122K miles all hwy with the recommended maintenance, when should I replace my timing chain? And when that time comes can I install a double chain style.
