Default tire question

I have a 1995 Dodge Ram Sport with the 5.9L. I will be installing a 3" lift on it as soon as it comes in from Top Gun. What is the largest size tire that I can mount on the stock chrome wheels, with that lift?

you will be able o fit 285/75r16 or 305/70r16's easily and look very good, but you may be able to fit some 315/70r16. but i would just go with the 33 inch tire, but if you don't mind it rubbing a little you can fit the 315's..

So are the 285's and the 305's both considered a 33" tire overall? And both of those widths will fit the stock chrome wheels? How bad and when does the rubbing occur?

the first number isent the hight of the tire, its the width in millimeters, the next number is the hight as a presantage, so depending oin the precentage SOME 285 and 305 tires will be 33 in tall

to answer your question 33's will clear, 35's will rub slightley on full turn with factory wheels however i have 35's and a 3 in lift and the rubbing isent too bad as long as you know not to crank it

so, I should be stylin if I throw on some 2" coil spacers then, for the front. Are you running 35" tires on stock wheels?
