I've got to do the old Plenum Pan replacement two-step. It's been suggested that you don't try it without a good shop manual at your side. Can anyone suggest a good source for a manual on a 2000 Dodge Ram 5.9?

The best manuals are the factory service manuals. You could get lucky and snag one off E-bay, but if you don't, you can order them through the same souce that the dealership gets theirs.

Haynes and Chiltons are pretty good, but I don't know if they'll cover the plenum pan replacement. Usually they'll cover some of the easier engine maintenance then jump right into engine removal. I've got a Haynes and a Chiltons in the garage, so I'll take a look either tomarrow or the next day and let you know.

Both the Haynes and the Chiltons manuals cover it, but they don't do a great job it of. It's the usual basic instructions on how to do it.
