with 4" you should start looking at some control arms, an adjustable track bar (or at least a relocation bracket) and possible a drop bracket to realign your sway bar. Other than that, you should be fine. After you're done, take and get the alignment done.

The Skyjacker coils are prestressed and will not "compress" to 4" . Their kit, like most others, lifts the front higher than the back because most trucks are "raked" and the style these days is to make them "level". With the 5" Skyjacker coils, you will get 5" of lift out of the front. It is a very widely used and respected kit.

That said, 5" lifts need longer control arms or relocated mounts (relocated mounts are best). Skyjackers kit does both. the upper control arms are relocated on the axle with a bracket that raises the attachement point up about 4". Then the lower control arms are longer than stock to work with the relocated uppers and give you the correct geometry.

You will need an adjustable track bar, or a drop bracket for your stock track bar. Skyjackers 5" kit comes with a drop bracket.

You will need longer bump stops for the front. Again Skyjackers kit comes with the extended bump stops.

You will need a couple of brackets to relocate the front brake linesso that they are long enough. Skyjackers kit includes these brackets as well.

You will have to come up with a bracket to lower the rear brake line too. Skyjacker also includes this bracket.

All of these parts can be ordered seperately from www.rockymountainsusp.com as they are a Skyjacker vendor and have good prices too.

When you get above 3" on a Ram, it get's much more exspensive ans much more complicated. Look for somebody selling the 5" arms and brackets, guys are always going to long arms and most have started with Skyjackers 5" kit.

Good luck to you.
