my buddy and i are installing an add-a-leaf on his chevy blazer and we got the springs off but the clip that holds the springs together is in the way. what are we supposed to do? were probly ganna cut the clip and move it down a little but any other suggestions?

 

If I am not mistaken those have the clip with the flange that is bent over on itself. Put ac-clamp on the leafs the take a punch/wedgeand bend up the tab.
