Default AHHHHHHH!!!! OLD TOPIC! REAR DiSCS

I noticed a while ago that Jeep Grand Cherokees have rear disc brakes. What I'm wondering is if anyone knows whether or not the rear ends are similar enough to a Dodges to where you could possibly pull the rear disc brakes off of an old Junker at a yard and hook them up to a Ram 1500 with a 9.25 rear end. Also, Does anyone know the exact specifications of a Jeep's rear end and who made it? Any and All info. is appreciated guys and gals. Thanks for the time. Josh

My memory on the subject is not clear
but I believe that right at the end of 2001
some 2nd Rams could be purchased with rear disc brakes
this might have only been 2500 series
but I believe some 1500 Rams came with rear discs too.

You might check the pdf file of the 2001 FSM
to see if it has info
or check with your local Dodge dealerships parts desk.
