hello, i may have a tranny problem but i am not sure. then i start truck and put in gear, i can let off brake and truck just sits there until i give it gas. every other car/truck i've had would start to move. my ram just sits there in drive or reverse with foot off brake giving it no gas. is this normal? thanks for any reply. (p.s. the parking brake is not on...i know someone would ask...) thanks again

The truck is heavy enough that this is common, especially on gravel or unpaved surfaces. As long as it takes off as soon as you get on the throttle, you should be OK. If you have to rev it up quite a bit to get it to go (over 1000-1200 rpm), if even just initially, you've got either pump or torque converter problems. My mud truck has a bad torque converter and I have to rev it up 3 or 4 times to get it to engage, then it works normally.
Also, at 50,000 miles you should have the transmission fluid flushed and changed, filter changed, bands adjusted, and blow out the cooling lines. If you want the trans to survive, you have to do this about every 25,000 miles. I did, and mine still died at 78,000...
