wow how much did that run you? with the rhino line/ship guard stuff. ive always wanted to the lower portion of my truck where the red goes back into the black. but tis so expensive and the DIY stuff fades way to easily and i would screw it up

Well I'm really close with Maaco, and they have their own version of a chipguard, so he cut me a deal since I was having them take a dent out of my door. He did the entire perimeter AND then painted over it with the color of the truck for $300, aint that incredible?! He's gonna do my bed for me for $275. I told him I'll do that in the spring though, I got some other **** I'm wayy more anxtious to do lol!

20DodgeNeon00 That is an awsome deal, I was quoted $600 by the Rhino Line place near my house. Like you said I figured it would protect the bottom in trails and daily driving.
BIGRED97 I havent had any issues but I do have the off road package which comes with a bigger alternator and battery. With all the lights and my stereo system(700w Kicker amp and 2 10" subs) I havent had any battery drainage problems at all, and I have had them all going for awhile some nights when I go to bonfire parties.
DodgeFan01 They are 15x8 Pro Comp Rock Crawlers mounted in 35x12.5x15 Pro Comp Extreme Mudd Terrains

wow that is much meaner before and after comparrison great job!
those lights look awesome! ive wanted a light bar since i got my truck last year, but im still into the performance before looks stage right now.
and DODGENEON you just gave us another reason to hate you j/k! haha but that is a hell of a deal! i wish i could get a break like that
i really didnt think you would ahve much of problem with the alt. i leave my system running at the drive in, i have 500watt to my speakers and 600 pushin my 12 (infinity baby!!!) and the truck starts like champ after a double feature, and i dont have an OffRoad, i was just curious.
How much of adifference in the Alt is there between a OffRaod and non?

your correct stock factory is 117amp and an offroad is 136amp
its not thewats you need to look at, its the amps...if your total amperage draw comes close to or exceed your alt output then you deff need a bigger alt, typically 100w lights draw around 6-8 amps each...150w lights draw 12-14 amps ea, i run 4 150w lights and 2 100w lights on the front and 2 150w lights on the rear and have dual bats, but i dont need it, i can shut off the 2nd bat and still have plenty of power (the 2nd bat is hooked up through a solenoid so i can disconnect it via a switch so when I'm parked i turn it off and if i kill my 1 bat i can flick a switch and the truck will start right up)

alright im kinda confused now.. sorry for jackin thethread but i got my build sheet awhile ago and was checking what my alternator was since you were all talking about it and it says i have a 136 amp alternator.. could that be because i have the tow package or what? i have a 1997 1500 5.9 4x4 club cab.. or is that just normal because my truck is older than yours?
