Default Tranny slipping

I have a 99 ram 2500 4x4 sport V10, going down the freeway tranny would kinda slip in and out of over drive. Now shifting from 1st to 2nd it feels like its slipping, if I put my foot in it it catches, do I need to adjust bands or do I have more to worry about??

Ya, it probably needs an band adjustment, also slipping between gears under light-medium throttle can also be you TC cable in need of an ajustment

adjusting the bands wouldn't hurt, try a bottle of the lucas transmission fix. I had an old ford work truck that I lost 2 and 4th gear. Put a bottle in and 4th came back, put another bottle in and 2nd came back. I used to put a bottle of it in my dakota everytime I did a fluid and filter change and I never had a problem. When I got rid of it it had 195,000 miles on it, i plowed with it for 4 years and towed stuff that i shouldnt have.

i wouldent throw any additive in your dodge tranny, its prob not made to be compatable with ATF+4 whitch is required for your truck, nost are made for dextron-mertron

Like I said I put the lucas in every time I changed the fluid and filter in my dakota which was twice a year. Once in the spring and once just before the winter. I plowed 3 parking lots and 12 driveways with it every winter for the 4 years I had the plow on it and not one problem. The truck had 195,000 when I got rid of it and the tranny still shifted like the day it was new
