Very nice forum!
I recently rebuilt the oil pump in my 98 Dakota 2.5-liter. But, I can't get any oil pressure. Do I need to prime it first? (is there an easy way?). Or, is there another possible cause? I'm pretty sure the oil pressure sensor is ok. Thanks!

You said you rebuilt it, how was the housing? Did it have any chewed up spots or wear marks. Did you get a good seat when reinstalling it? The only true way to know it to prime it by hand. That requires a priming shaft, a drill,an open valve cover, and about five minutes.
