I'm going to pull my throttle body this weekend to give it a cleaning as well as the IAC solenoid. Is there a gasket that I need to get and is it a dealer-only item? I don't want to be in this thing up to my elbows and not be able to put it back together. Where do I get the gasket--I'm guessing it won't be in stock at an autoparts store, so I'll have to go to the dealer (in stock there?).

I have reused my gasket several times without any issue. But only when it was still in good shape. When I did replace it, I had to get it from the dealer, but it was less then $5. If you have a Fastman or other bored TB, you will need to trim the gasket to match.

 

ANY auto parts store...in stock; very popular item...and only about $3-4!

 

When I bought my last one (about a year ago), no autoparts store that I tried carried it. I had to get it from the dealer.

 

I just picked one up from autozone for 1.12$

 

advance had it when i got it... except they called it a carburator gasket. it was the same thing.

 

O'Reilly Auto Parts carries it. I have a spare on-hand.
