Default Side Steps 98

Hows it goin guys, more advice needed!

I have a 98 Quad Cab, and im looking to get the chrome side-step rails[What do you guys call them?] installed on both sides, I want the full length ones, not the single steps. Before i go shopping around was curious what you guys paid for them, and how much you paid to have them installed, im hoping not too much for installation, seems to be a simple weld / bolt on.

first of all if you do want to spend a lot of money i would search craigslist and then go from there...you can spend anywhere from $150-500 just depends on what you want...they are called side steps or nerf bars...chrome are usually more expensive but a couple good brands that are out there are...Westin, Go Rhino, Dee Zee, Smittybuilt, Bully

beware of cheaper chrome over steel - they will rust.
i recommend Nasta polished stainless. good prices here. http://www.svcustoms.com/
you can easily put them on yourself. everything comes in the kit. you just replace a few short bolts with some long bolts, and drill a couple holes underneath for the braces. and then tighten the crap out of them so they don't give when you step on them.

mine are the nerf bars for regular cab. they were about $225

I think im gonna go with your recommendation Dhvaughan.

2 questions though. The price on them, is it for one or two nerf bars? And am I Reg. Cab or Extended Quad Cab? My truck has 4 doors, but you gotta open the driverside or the passenger side door to open the other 2. Stupid question I know, but dont want to order the wrong size.

these have gone up a little from when i got mine a year or so ago.
go to this page, scroll down to dodge truck, and click the down arrow.
http://www.svcustoms.com/catalog/nas...nerfbars.shtml

match your year (94-01) and number or doors.
my 2 door is regular cab.
your 4 door is extended/quad cab

the price, $276 is for 2 bars, one on each side. looks like you even get a $20 discount in the shopping cart.

"Nasta Polished Stainless Nerf Bars,
Dodge Ram 1500 (Extended / Quad Cab) 94-01 (Polished Stainless)"

N76-2060A $276.00 $276.00

Product Total $276.00
Discount -$20.00
Subtotal $256.00
