Default Tires for 98 Ram?

Hi guys. I just picked up a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT Laramie. It's got 245x75x16 on it now. What's the MAX tire size I can fit without any rubbing or modifications needed? Thanks!

i take it its a 2wd? the 4x4s came with 265 75 16'sand the offroad package ones came with the 275 70 17's. if you have the offroad you can go up to 315 70 17 or 35" without rubbing. 2wd trucks would have to have a 5 inch lift to get to that i believe

Thanks for the reply and sorry I forgot to specify. It's 4x4. No offroad package. The guy that sold it to me just replaced the tires and he used it more to travel back and forth so maybe he put a more "road friendly" tire on it? Here's a picture:

245/75/16's came stock on 4x4 trucks. 265/75r16's were an option. 285/75r16 is the biggest you can stuff under there with the stock rims, and you may still get some slight rubbing on the control arms at full lock depending on how aggressive of a tire you buy

Dude, i never want to argue, but there is no way u can fit 35's on the off road package with no rubbing, u will rube i'm telling u that right now

Also dude, congrats on getting a new dodge truck. Just rules of one to another it is a older truck, and if its ur daily driver try not to mudd it to much b/c it will take a nice truck to a POS in no time.

285-75-16 + BFG all terrains = no rubbing. You will need to have the speedo recalibrated because it will off a bit.

What places will re-calibrate a speedo btw? I've been wondering for awhile.
